Here’s How WCC Helps with Church Construction Consulting
Cost Overrun Management & Change Orders
As a part of our building project management oversight, WCC evaluates cost overruns caused by change orders. This is accomplished by looking at the validity of such changes in terms of ascertaining the cause of each change. Our oversight in this area can result in managing unnecessary expenditures and penalty avoidance.
Project Reporting
Our project reporting includes the monitoring of the job schedule and producing scheduled, detailed building status updates for the client. We attend architect, owners and/or contractor meetings as the owner’s representative. We provide information on potential difficulties or challenges related to project completion and monitor local events that may impact the job schedule.
Monthly Billing Verification
Whorton Construction Consulting will verify that the percentage of work completed is aligned with the realities that exist on the job site. We determine whether line item costs match up with work in place. This process involves reviewing all change orders and confirming that they satisfy the associated problem.
Oversight of Quality of Workmanship
Oversight includes verification that the building is constructed per specifications. This includes confirmation of building code compliance for workmanship. The process also includes the review and confirmation of structural requirements and the monitoring of all constraints.
Monitor Safety Compliance
Weekly safety meetings are required by contract. Oversight will include monitoring use of hard hats, leather shoes and safety glasses (if needed). Additionally, we locate and inspect all fire extinguishers.
